Carrie is a graduate of North Lamar High School and went on to compete in two collegiate sports—volleyball and softball—at Houston Baptist University. During her time there, she earned a national ranking in volleyball and completed a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Biology and Human Kinetics. She later earned her Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.
Carrie completed advanced training to become a McKenzie Certified Practitioner, a method primarily used in the treatment of spinal conditions. She is also certified in dry needling and has a strong passion for working with athletes of all ages, with an emphasis on sports performance and injury prevention.
Through her involvement with Samaritan’s Purse Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART), Carrie deployed to the Bahamas following Hurricane Dorian and to New York City to serve in a COVID-19 field hospital.
Outside of her professional work, Carrie is an active member of her church and enjoys traveling, exploring the outdoors, participating in and watching sports, and spending time with friends and family. She is the daughter of Gordon and Gail Hogue and mom to the best two adult daughters.
